Rewrite: On art and the archive
An evening of readings and discussion with eight talented emerging writers.
Join us for an evening of readings and discussion with eight talented emerging writers, as we launch a body of new writings arising from the works and themes of the exhibition Primavera 2026: Young Australian Artists, currently on view at the MCA Australia.
The event is the capstone of the New Writers Program, a development program for emerging writers which forms part of the Visual Research Program, an ongoing partnership between the MCA Australia and The Power Institute that aims to explore new ways of conducting research on contemporary art and visual culture. The 2026 cohort was mentored by curator Antares Wells (MCA Australia) and writers Nick Croggon and Daniel Browning (The Power Institute, University of Sydney).
Co-presented by The Power Institute and MCA Australia, as part of the Visual Research Program.
